AUGUSTA VAH FEDERAL CREDIT UNION MEMBERS VOTE TO MERGE WITH SRP FEDERAL CREDIT UNION

Augusta VAH Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Augusta, Georgia, held a special membership vote on January 23, 2019, where they voted in favor of merging with SRP Federal Credit Union, headquartered in North Augusta, South Carolina. This merger has already been approved by the NCUA (National Credit Union Administration) and the member vote was the final step to make the merger official.

"Augusta VAH Federal Credit Union has served this community for 65 years and we are excited to have the opportunity to merge into a local credit union that cares about this community and understands the needs of our membership," said Phyllis Cochran, President and CEO of Augusta VAH Federal Credit Union. "We are thrilled to provide a new suite of products and services to our members that are offered by SRP."

The combined entity will have approximately $1 billion in assets with 20 branches in South Carolina and Georgia. Augusta VAH Federal Credit Unions four branch locations will remain open and continue to do business as usual. Once systems integration is complete, members of Augusta VAH Federal Credit Union will be able to access any SRP branch and the full range of products and services.
