Eligibility Requirements for Opening a Business Account

Under SRP Federal Credit Union's community charter guidelines, any business that is headquartered in Aiken, Allendale, Barnwell, or Edgefield in South Carolina or Burke, Columbia, Lincoln, McDuffie, or Richmond County in Georgia is eligible to open a Business Account.

AUSA Member

If you are a member of the Greater Augusta-Fort Gordon Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) then you are eligible for membership with SRP. The AUSA is a private, not for profit educational and professional development organization that supports America's Army- Regular Army, National Guard, Reserve, Civilians, Retirees, Government Civilians, Wounded Warriors, Veterans, and family members. AUSA membership is open to any individual who is interested in supporting the soldiers and having an established relationship with the US Army is not required. AUSA membership supports advocacy, networking, local community involvement, and educational/professional benefits. Visit the AUSA website for more information.

Savannah Riverkeeper Member

If you are a member of Savannah Riverkeeper, you are eligible for membership with SRP. Savannah Riverkeeper serves as the primary guardian of the Savannah River striving to respect, protect, and improve the entire river basin through education, advocacy, and action. They are funded by individuals and foundations that share their commitment to creating a clean and healthy river that sustains life and is cherished by its people. Savannah Riverkeeper works primarily in Georgia and South Carolina, both physically and in terms of community and legislature.

Joining SRP Federal Credit Union

When you decide to join SRP Federal Credit Union, you will need proper documentation depending on your business ownership type.

  • Verification of Social Security Number (Social Security Card, Medicare Card, W-2) or Proof of EIN of the Business (SS-4 Letter from IRS or Schedule C from return)
  • Business License, if applicable
  • Proof of EIN of the Business (SS-4 Letter from IRS or Schedule C from Tax Return)
  • Articles of Organization
  • Certificate of Good Standing with the Secretary of State
  • Bylaws
  • Amendments, if applicable
  • Copy of meeting minutes naming current officers
  • If a non-profit organization, please provide proof of tax exempt status
Limited Liability Company
  • Proof of EIN of the Business (SS-4 Letter from IRS or Schedule C from Tax Return)
  • Articles of Organization
  • Certificate of Good Standing with the Secretary of State

Incorporated Non-Profit Organization
or Association

  • Proof of EIN/TIN from IRS
  • Articles of Incorporation & any Amendments
  • Bylaws
  • BOD Minutes Authorizing Membership in the CU & Signers
  • Driver's License & SSN of All Signers

Unincorporated Non-Profit Organization,

  • Letter of Authorization from Association, Organization of Lodge or Bylaws

Business Savings Accounts

When you open a savings account with SRP Federal Credit Union, you become a shareholder and owner of the credit union. The $0.01 deposit required to open a primary account buys your share.

Business Share Certificates

SRP Federal Credit Union offers a wide range of certificate options to suit the needs of your business. Your certificate will earn a competitive interest rate based on current market conditions and is federally insured by the NCUA. Certificates require a single minimum deposit and are automatically eligible for renewal at maturity.

Business Checking Accounts

SRP Federal Credit Union now offers you the convenience of handling all your personal and business accounts.

  •  Minimum deposit to open - $100.00
  •  Monthly maintenance fee - $5.00
  •  Monthly activity fees

    - 250 Free debits processed monthly
      (additional debits processed  $0.50 each)
    - 500 Free items deposited monthly
      (additional items deposited  $0.50 each)

Monthly maintenance and activity fees will be waived with a $5,000 account balance on the last business day of the month. With the convenience of free monthly E-Statements, Visa Check Card, and SRP Online for online access & Bill Pay, SRPs business checking accounts are working for you.
